Tony Pulis stands firm on final offer for Tottenham duo

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is still keen to land Peter CrouchStoke City have issued a final offer to Tottenham Hotspur for the signatures of striker Peter Crouch and defensive midfielder, Wilson Palacios.

Stoke chairman, Peter Coates, is unwilling to meet Spurs’ £20m valuation for the two, commenting: “We’ve made our last bid, the ball is in their court. We shall not be negotiating from  where we are.”

He added: “The last conversation I had with Spurs, we had not agreed anything. We’ll see what happens, but we haven’t got any further.”

Spurs may be likely to sell the pair, as they look to fund a move for a new striker, rumoured to be Villareal’s Giuseppe Rossi.

Palacios is thought to be keen on a move away after playing second fiddle to Sandro last campaign, and 30 year-old Crouch has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane for some time.
