Tottenham appear to have finally taken a big step in signing a big name striker in the form of former Arsenal frontman, Emmanuel Adebayor.
The two clubs agreed a deal last night, after Spurs agreed to pay a larger portion of the forward’s wages than they initially wanted.
The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Madrid, where he helped to knock Tottenham out of the Champions League.
Tottenham looked like they were lacking a neat finish in the final third of the pitch on Monday, as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.
The move could open the door for Peter Crouch to join QPR or Fulham, who have both been associated with the giant.
