Heurelho Gomes has been given a vote of confidence by manager, Harry Redknapp, after he was told he still has a future at White Hart Lane.
The Brazilian goalkeeper was being associated with a move away from the club after he voiced his anger after being nudged out of the first team by summer acquisition, Brad Friedel.
Friedel arrived at Spurs on a free transfer, and despite being 40 years-old, has played impressively despite the clubs disappointing form in the early season.
Redknapp said: “He’s obviously upset he’s been left out. It’s been difficult. I brought Brad in, there’s competition for places and I just decided to go with Brad. It was my gut feeling.”
