The second FA Cup semi-final of the weekend takes place on Sunday evening as London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea go head to head at Wembley, battling it out for a place in the final as the price on a Spurs victory (17/10) attracts plenty of attention from punters.
Going into the game, there is no doubt that Tottenham are in need of a lift to reignite their season. After looking assured of third position at one point, Harry Redknapp’s men are now hanging onto a place in the top four by a thread.
This is because of a shocking run of form in the league that has seen them win just one of their last eight games in the Premier League. Their most recent game saw them lose at home to Norwich too, so their confidence is without doubt suffering going into this weekend.

They still have the quality to win games though and perhaps an FA Cup semi-final victory will be enough to inject some life into Tottenham’s season. For this reason – as well as many others – this weekend’s game at Wembley is absolutely massive for Tottenham.
As for Chelsea, they are in better form than Tottenham, no doubt about that. Since Roberto Di Matteo took over from Andre Villas-Boas, they have built some momentum and appear to have the ability to win important games.
The Blues are fighting on plenty of fronts at the moment too. They are aiming to overtake Tottenham in the league to book their place in the top four, while they also have a Champions League semi-final against Barcelona to contend with next week.

For now though, they must focus on the FA Cup and this mouth watering contest at Wembley against Tottenham. Perhaps one of their main issues ahead of this one is that they are focused on this game only, without one eye on Barcelona.
The two Premier League games between these two this season ended all square and there is no doubt that a tight match is predicted on Sunday. It really could go either way as these two battle it out for a place in the FA Cup final.
This one gets underway at 6pm on Sunday evening.
