Spurs manager, Harry Redknapp, has been told by the club’s upper echelon, that his next signing must be a striker.
The North London side saw the departure of Robbie Keane to LA Galaxy on Monday, and are reportedly close to selling Peter Crouch too.
Keane and Crouch, along with Roman Pavlyuchenko and Jermain Defoe, only scored 18 league goals between them during last season.
Redknapp is reportedly chasing Manchester City outcast, Emmanuel Adebayor, looking to sign the Togoles international on a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer.
Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy, has been keeping a close eye on transfers this summer, and Spurs will need to sell before they can make many big money moves.
