Tottenham Hotspur manager looking to get back into action

Redknapp will get back to Tottenham Hotspur matters when his doctor advises soTottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is eager to “get back into the thick of it” according to his son Jamie Redknapp after the 64 year old manager underwent an operation on his heart.

The Spurs manager had apparently experienced breathing difficulties during a game of golf with his son and was later advised that the best course of action would be an operation. Whilst Redknapp is keen to get back to work he shall only do so when advised by his doctor.

Talking to the Daily Mail, Redknapp junior said:

“‘Dad has undergone an operation and is in good spirits, he doesn’t want people worrying about him. He wants to get back to work quickly, but will wait for advice from the doctor. My dad was breathing heavily when we played golf and I told him to get it checked out. The doctor said he should have an operation and that is what has happened.”

After an opening season that saw Spurs lose their first two matches, Jamie Redknapp confirms that his father his now pleased with how the side is progressing up the ladder and that more will be expected.

“My dad is really happy with the way Spurs are playing at the moment, they are in good form and climbing the table. He wants to get back in the thick of it, but knows he has good people around him such as Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan.

The former Liverpool midfielder added:

“Everyone at the club has been very supportive. Another win will put him in even better spirits.”
