Tottenham Hotspur midfielder suggests they are fearless

Tottenham’s right hand man, Jermain Jenas has claimed that the North London club do not fear Real Madrid ahead of their highly anticipated Champions League first leg against the Spanish giants.

Jenas, who was talking to the Daily Telegraph also suggests that reaching the quarter final is not something the players themselves had predicted.

“we didn’t dream of playing at the Bernabeu in the quarter-finals. The ‘nearly’ comeback against Inter Milan was another big moment. We started doing things that people just did not see happening. We went to Milan and were 4-0 down and got three goals back with ten men. We then went to Emirates. We were 2-0 down and won 3-2. When things like that happen, it generates belief and that’s what we have.”

Belief is one thing but one cannot argue against the talent that this squad of Harry Redknapp’s possess. The ability to hold no fear mixed in with quality is something that all teams will need to be wary of. Should Tottenham not find success in the Premiership – by claiming the fourth spot – then a Champions League winners medal could be the only route back into this competition next season.
