Tottenham Hotspur ready to listen to serious offers for English striker
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is ready to listen to serious offers for England international Jermain Defoe as he looks to raise cash to acquire the services of Guiseppe Rossi and Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente.
The Spurs forward did not feature much last season and he would be the first to admit that he did not score anyway near as many goals as he should have done. Redknapp though does not have time to hang around for players to relocate their form and will listen to any offers in the region of £10m-£12m plus for the 28 year old so he can go on to make a combined bid for both continental strikers.
Defoe is one player Redknapp would however prefer to keep alongside Peter Crouch but he is expecting to find suitors for Kranjcar and Pavlyuchenko to raise extra cash to fund the transfers of Llorente and Rossi.
