In the latest addition of the North London rivalry, news is now suggesting that Tottenham are interested in signing known Arsenal target, Lucas Biglia.
The South American is known to have been on the Gunners’ radar for some time now, and is believed to have come close to a summer transfer.
Biglia has made over 150 appearances for Anderlecht and earned a call-up to the Argentine national squad earlier this year, and has since made six appearances for his country.
Tottenham will be looking to fill a gap in defensive midfield after the departure of Wilson Palacios to Stoke City, and give Scott Parker some competition for the position.
The 25 year-old had a bright start to his career, making a name for himself playing for Independiente and Argentinos Juniors.
However, the career of Biglia wilted over time but with more experience in his locker, the midfielder now seems to be back to his best and could be ready to step up to the Premier League.
Should Spurs follow up their interest in the South American, the Londoners will be looking to shell out around £7m for his services, as they look to pip their bitter rivals to his signature.
