Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is ready to reunite with Joe Cole and bring him to the Lane, however admits that he has not yet made an enquiry for the Liverpool player.
Tottenham offered a contract to Cole last summer, but he rejected the deal so he could join Liverpool instead following his release from Chelsea. Unfortunatley the move to Liverpool has not been how Cole expected it, and it is rumoured the midfielder is now ready to leave Anfield after just one season.
Newly promoted Queens Park Rangers were speculated to be favourites to win the signature of the former England international, although interest from Spurs is likely to be more attractive to Cole.
Redknapp is eager to join up with Cole, as he knows the player well after signing the player for West Ham when he was only 11-years-old.
“I like Joe. I signed him as an 11-year-old. He is a good player,” said Redknapp.
“I’ve got all the time in the world for him.
“We haven’t made any enquiries about him but I wouldn’t sit here and say I wouldn’t have him at the club because if I did I’d be lying. I do like him.”
