Tottenham manager Redknapp thrilled with Wolves win

Tottenham finally managed to register some points on the board in the Premier League after a 2-0 win against Wolves at Molineux and boss Harry Redknapp was visibly delighted with the result.

For Tottenham it was third time lucky after two defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Manchester City.

However, boss Redknapp declared that he had not been worried by his teams failure to get off the mark: “It was great to win, but it was only going to be a matter of time.”

He continued:

“We’ve had two difficult games. We went to United and for 70 minutes matched them all the way, then gave a couple of silly goals away and ended up losing 3-0. We then played City at home and again, for 35 minutes, we were bang in the game but they took their chances and we didn’t.”

Redknapp added that he was pleased with the debuts of new signings Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor: “We were open against City and I felt we were more solid with Scott Parker in the middle of the park at Wolves, he made a massive difference.”

“Adebayor was also excellent, held the ball up for us, brought players into play, kept the ball and Ledley King coming back was a big bonus, he’s different class.”
