Tottenham Hotspur have announce that they have completed the signing of West Ham United midfielder.
Parker has been linked with a move away from Upton Park all summer, with Arsenal thought to be ready to make a last ditch challenge for the player. The England international’s impressive performances last season saw him named the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year, which resulted in the player having a whole host of clubs after him.
Queens Park Rangers had a bid for Parker rejected earlier this month as they fee fell short of West Ham’s valuation of the player.
The midfielder began his career with Charlton Athletic, making his debut in 1997 aged just 16. Following an impressive spell in 2003, the player then joined Chelsea in January 2004 and was crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year at the end of the 2003/04 campaign.
Parker has become a regular with the England first team and is expected to play ton Friday in the Euro 2012 qualifier with Bulgaria
The deal is thought to be worth around £8million.
