Tottenham v Liverpool Odds : Roberto Soldado looks to capitalise on Arsenal’s misfortunes

Spurs are slight 6-4 favourites to beat Liverpool in the latest Tottenham v Liverpool odds released, as both sides look to move to within touching distance of top spot ahead of the festive fixtures.

After seeing Arsenal lose 6-3 to Manchester City on Saturday, both Tottenham and Liverpool could propel themselves back into the title race with a win at White Hart Lane.

For Tottenham, it could give them the chance to get back into the title mix as a win would catapult up to fifth in the table and to within five points of Arsenal.

seeing Roberto Soldado end his goal drought in the win against Anzhi during the Europa League on Thursday, the Spaniard striker could start up front ahead of both Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Andre Vilas-Boas could also hand starts to both Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen who both featured on Thursday as substitutes after suffering injuries that ruled them out for much of the autumn.

Despite their returns, Spurs will still be without Jan Vertonghen who is injured whilst there are also concerns surrounding the fitness of Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chirches.

Although Tottenham have had mixed success at home this season, Spurs have got a good record against Liverpool having defeated The Reds the last six times they have clashed in London.

Liverpool have been in the title race all season long and The Reds could move to within two points of leaders Arsenal should they pick up the three points on Sunday afternoon.

However, Brendan Rogers will have to get the job done without skipper Steven Gerrard as the England midfielder is out after picking up a hamstring injury in last weekend’s 4-1 thrashing of West Ham.

It’s unclear who will fit the spot though as natural replacement Jordan Henderson is a doubt himself as he continues to battle for full match fitness ahead of the trip to White Hart Lane.

Although Liverpool do have a poor record at White Hart Lane, Brendan Rogers will take solace in the fact that his side as the league’s top scorer in Luis Suarez who has scored 15 goals already this season.

There is a lot riding on Sunday’s game with both Liverpool and Tottenham knowing that they might not get a better chance to close down Arsenal for the next few weeks ahead.
