Manchester City are the in-form side in the Premier League and they could finally sit on top of the Premier League if they are to beat Tottenham in London in the late evening kick-off.

Tottenham v Man City: Odds

Drawicon1 5/2
Man Cityicon1 10/11
Aguero first GS /Man City to win – 6/1
Toure anytime GS/Man City win – 4/1

It will be a tough test considering that Spurs have picked up their form in recent weeks and Tim Sherwood’s side are very much in the hunt for a European spot as they currently sit in fifth place.

For Spurs, the main news is that they will still be without the midfield pairing of Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela as both players continue to recover from injury problems.

The good news for Spurs is that both Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul are both training again and have a slight chance of being ready for the clash against City despite there being some lingering concerns over their full match fitness.

Tottenham will no doubt be aware of City’s poor away form and it’s something that Sherwood could exploit especially as Spurs have won seven out of the last 10 meetings between the two sides at White Hart Lane.

However, City are going to be encouraged by the fact that they could move to the top spot and one point above Arsenal should they be able to get all three points against Spurs.

Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping to that both Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero will both be fully fit for the trip down to London with both strikers having scored over 20 goals already this season.

However, there are still concerns about whether Negredo has overcome his shoulder problems meaning that Edin Dzeko could deputise in his absence if need be.

Pellegrini will certainly be comfortable with an Aguero-Dzeko partnership considering that both players have a 100% goals-game ratio against Spurs in the league with Aguero netting 4 in 4 and Dzeko claiming 5 in 5 against their next opposition.

It seems that there is everything to gain for Manchester City in their next game and a win against Tottenham could prove to be a difference maker come the end of the season against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
