Tottenham’s Michael Dawson insists best players must be kept
Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Michael Dawson has insisted that the White Hart Lane club must do what they can to keep hold of their best players and also suggests that new players need to be brought in to freshen things up.
Many of Tottenham’s players have been linked with moves away, especially the likes of Gareth Bale, van der Vaart and Sandro, however Dawson feels a Champions League spot can be claimed again next next season should they keep hold of them.
“We’ve got a fantastic squad, great players but I think every year you need to freshen things up and I’m sure the chairman will be looking to do that. Without a shadow of a doubt you can’t be selling your best players and the top players – and we’ve got plenty of them in that dressing room, we’ve got to keep hold of them.”
Talking to Sky Sports News Dawson added.
“As I say, if we build on it, we’ve got great players and that’s our aim.”
