Tough tackling Left-back to “wait and see” regarding possible move to Liverpool or Newcastle United

Possible Liverpool FC target Cheikh M’Bengue is unsure whether his future will mean a move to Merseyside, Tyneside or a trip East to French club Marseille this summer.

The 22 year old has been linked with a move away from current club Toulouse this summer but the 6ft defender despite suggesting that both Newcastle United and Liverpool are big clubs claims nothing has been decided as yet.

“Liverpool are a very big club, Newcastle as well, but nothing has been decided with my future so let’s wait and see.”

The young defender has been at Tououse since signing a professional contract for them in 2007 making 54 appearances in the meantime and has been part of the France U21 side.

There is a dark side to his game however and the Frenchman has been suspended twice by the French Football Federation for hard, tough tackles that put two players out of the game, at the time M’Bengue was only yellow carded for his actions however after more anlysis from the FFF he was suspended for 13 matches in the 2007/2008 season and again from March to June in the 2008/2009 campaign.
