Tuesday evening in the Champions League saw plenty of goals, a few shock results and as always, a lot of entertainment.
There were wins for all three British sides in action as well, and it was Celtic that got the ball rolling in the early kick-off on Tuesday.
The Bhoys had a superb 3-2 win at Spartak Moscow in what was an enthralling match. Celtic came from behind to snatch a late victory that puts them in great shape to reach the knockout stages.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United then picked up victories on the road, with Chelsea’s being a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
The Blues now have four points from two games, so have started the defence of their trophy very well indeed.
United have a 100% record in the tournament, but made hard work of their game against FC Cluj – taking the game 2-1, but having to come from a goal down.
There is no surprise as to who grabbed the headlines in Romania – Robin Van Persie. The forward scored another two goals of the highest quality to lead United to victory.
Barcelona and Valencia were the two Spanish sides in action and they were also both victorious by a 2-0 score-line.
Barca were playing at Benfica and after going a goal up after just six minutes, never really looked in any danger, whereas Valencia played on home soil and triumphed over French side Lille.
There was nothing to separate Juventus and Shaktar Donetsk in Turin as that match ended 1-1, extending both teams’ unbeaten runs this campaign.
Sporting Braga took a very impressive win at Galatasaray as well, putting big dents in the Turkish side’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages.
The shock of the night came from Belarus though, as BATE were 3-1 winners at home to German giants Bayern Munich.
Not many people knew what to expect from BATE, but after picking up two wins from two, they have shown that they could be a real force in the Champions League this season.
