Two Arsenal players ready to return

Koscielny could be set for an Arsenal return against SunderlandArsenal defenders Laurent Koscielny and Johan Djourou have both resumed full training after being sidelined over the last three weeks.

Koscielny had missed the Champions League group game versus Olmpiacos and the Premiership defeat to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur due to an ankle injury whilst Djourou missed the same fixtures with muscular issue. Whilst both returned to their international sides this week even better news for Arsenal fans is that both may not feature and should return to the Emirates fresh from any injury concerns.

The return of the two defenders will provide a boost to Arsene Wenger’s side who have recently lost Bacary Sagna for a good three months at least and the addition of Koscielny and Djourou will provide Wenger with more options when they face their next Premiership match against Steve Bruce’s Sunderland.

Both Wenger and Bruce are under pressure to get results with many claiming that Steve Bruce’s time in charge of the Stadium of Light side is beginning to come to an end. Wenger, who has seen his side claim only seven points from seven games this season so far is also under pressure with numerous sections calling for both the 61 year old and the board to freshen things up.
