Murray would have thought that he would have been playing against Roger Federer in this semi-final, however Berdych put in a fantastic performance to beat the number one side in four sets.
Berdych got the better of the Swiss two years ago at Wimbledon and has now beaten him again and has a fantastic chance of making the final of this US Open.
Murray will of course go into this one as the favourite but will know that he must be at his best to progress. He will also see that the Czech has the better of him in terms of their head-to-head record.
Berdych has four wins to Murray’s two and he also defeated the Scot earlier in the year so could have the psychological advantage going into this one.
At this stage of the tournament, it is hard to predict a winner but it looks as though we are in for a thrilling match.
