Warnock eyeing move for Southampton misfit

QPR manager, Neil Warnock, is preparing an offer of £500,000 plus Kaspars Gorkss in an effort to lure Jason Puncheon to Loftus Road.

The Southampton winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackpool after he became limited to substitute appearances with the emergence of starlet, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 25 year-old scored three times in 11 appearances for the Seasiders last season and has not travelled with Southampton on their pre-season tour of Switzerland.

Puncheon’s agent, Tony Finnigan, is quite sure his client will be plying his trade elsewhere this season. When speaking with The Daily Mirror, Finnigan noted: “Southampton don’t want him there. They want to sell him, so people are being encouraged to enquire,”
