West Brommanager, Roy Hodgson, says that he isn’t too fussed about his side losing out on the Carling Cup, claiming that his priorities lie elsewhere this season.
Chris Brunt gave the Baggies the lead with a second half penalty, however Marouane Fellaini netted in the last minute of the game to force extra time.
Phil Neville then completed the comeback with a 103rd minute winner, knocking Albion out of the competition in the process.
The Baggies manager said: “Any game you lose, even if it’s in extra-time after a good performance, you don’t feel great about it but on the other hand our priority is the league.”
The helmsman noted that his team aren’t yet ready for the demands of several competitions, adding: “Our goal is not to win the League Cup, it is to get another season in the Premier League and, to be quite frank, it can be counter-productive for teams like ourselves.”
