Birmingham goalkeeper, Ben Foster, is set to follow Seb Larsson and Craig Gardner by departing the seemingly-sinking ship of Birmingham City.
A number of Birmingham stars have been linked with moves away from the club following Carson Yeung’s money-laundering charges.
Albion have been looking for a new No.1 following the departure of Scott Carson to Bursaspor, and boss Roy Hodgson sees former Manchester United keeper, Foster, as ample replacement.
The stopper is expected to join on a season loan, with the view to completing a £4m transfer in a year’s time.
Birmingham are expected to save about £1.5m from offloading Foster’s wages alone this season, which would undoubtedly help the club who appear to be in somewhat of a cash-crisis.
Baggies goalkeeper, Boaz Myhill, could also be part of the deal, moving in the opposite direction on a loan or permanent basis.
