West Bromwich Albion boss, Roy Hodgson, is confident that the club can complete the signing of former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves, if he agrees personal terms.
The Baggies have been looking to sign 30 year-old after he released a series of fitness videos on Youtube, showcasing his fitness levels.
Hargreaves was released by Manchester United at the start of the summer, struggling to maintain good enough fitness levels for consistent game time.
Albion Sporting Director, Dan Ashworth, is keen on signing the tenacious midfielder and Hodgson noted: “Dan has had further talks with him and the talks have been relatively positive, we believe he’s capable of playing top-flight football again and we’re very interested in him.”
Championship side, Leicester City, are also in the race to sign Hargreaves, but following a second medical at the Hawthorns, could lose out to their Premier League counterparts.
