West Bromwich Albion forward, Simon Cox, says he is ready to stay and fight for his place at the Hawthorns, ruling out a loan move away from the club.
Following the summer acquisition of Shane Long, the forward has fallen down the pecking order with the Baggies, and has been linked with a transfer.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the Republic of Ireland international said: “I’m a patient sort of person, it just depends how long I can be patient for before it makes me decide if it’s best for me to stay or leave.”
He went on to add: “That’s a long time down the road yet and I’m happy to fight for my place. With Shane (Long) having come in and done so well so far, it’s been good for us.”
