West Bromwich Albion have reportedly placed an £8m pricetag on prized asset, Peter Odemwingie.
The Nigerian international scored 15 league goals in his debut season, after transferring from Locomotiv Moscow last summer.
It’s understood that Wigan Athletic have already had a £4m bid rejected, but are prepared to return with an increased offer.
The forward has only a year left to run on his contract and Baggies boss, Roy Hodgson, is keen to tie the striker down to a new three-year deal.
However, sources suggest that talks have stalled between the two parties, as Odemwingie appreciates the interest from some of the Premier League’s bigger clubs, including Tottenham.
