West Brom QPR Odds : Mark Hughes in big fight for Premiership relegation survival at Hawthorns

West Brom will be aiming to damage Queens Park Rangers’ survival hopes this weekend when the two teams meet at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon, as Mark Hughes’s side attract plenty of attention at 13/5 from punters following their midweek results.

Going into this weekend, QPR are out of the relegation zone in 16th position, but only two points separate them from the bottom three and it is still all to play for.

Mark Hughes’ men did manage a fantastic 3-0 victory over Swansea last time out and it has been their home form that has given them a chance of staying up.

They would love to take the pressure off their games at Loftus Road with an away win though and therefore, this weekend’s trip to West Brom is a very important one for QPR.

They haven’t won on the road since November last year though and have lost eight of their last ten away games in the Premier League, so it would be a rare away victory if they were to achieve it on Saturday. Words can’t describe how valuable it would be though.

As for West Brom, they don’t have any relegation fears at the moment as they sit in 13th position, ten points above the bottom three. They perhaps need another win or two to absolutely assure their Premier League status though and they will be aiming for one this weekend.

Looking at the form of Roy Hodgson’s men, they have been relatively inconsistent recently, with three defeats, a draw and a victory in their last five games. Their home form has been more encouraging though with three wins in their last four matches at the Hawthorns.

When these two teams met earlier this season, it ended in a 1-1 draw and there is no doubt that this is expected to be another tight game. Home advantage means West Brom are slight favourites, but QPR are unpredictable and fighting for their lives so cannot be written off.

This one gets underway from 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
