West Brom have signed up former Arsenal youngster, Jamie Edge, on a one-year contract after he left the North London club by mutual consent.
The 17 year-old played a part in West Brom’s pre-season and the Baggies’ sporting director, Dan Ashworth, decided to hand the midfielder a deal.
Ashworth stated: “Arsenal let us have a look at Jamie for a three-week period during which he played in two reserves games and a couple of youth team games.”
He added: “Therefore, he has earned himself a one-year contract and the chance to progress his career here.”
Edge made only one appearance for the Gunners’ reserves but will be hoping to do better at the Hawthorns.
