West Ham laugh off QPR bid for midfield talisman

West Ham co-owner, David Sullivan, has labelled QPR’s offer for Scott Parker as “ridiculously low”, and compared it to “bidding £12m for Wayne Rooney”.

The playmaker has been associated with a move away from the East London outfit for the whole of the summer transfer window, following their relegation from the Premier League.

West Ham are adamant on sticking to their £8m valuation of Parker, and Sullivan also stated his opinion that the £4m bid is a “cheap publicity stunt” by new QPR chairman, Tony Fernandes.

The 30 year-old is one of the stand-out players at Upton Park, and the Hammers are thought t be keen on getting the England international’s wages off of their wage bill.
