West Ham playmaker hoping to reunite with former Newcastle teammate

West Ham playmaker, Kevin Nolan, is hopeful that Newcastle midfielder, Joey Barton, will join him at Upton Park to reform a partnership that made them so dangerous last season.

The move will only come to pass however, if the highly speculated move of Scott Parker materialises.

Parker has been linked with a move to either Tottenham or Chelsea since before the transfer window began, and a move could still go ahead.

Barton was named as a free transfer by the Magpies three weeks ago, and if Parker was to leave Upton Park, the former Manchester City midfielder would surely prove a financially efficient purchase.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror: Nolan said: “He knows I’m here, he knows Sam [Allardyce] is here and what we are about – I can look after him and he can look after me.”
