There have been big changes at the Bridge recently and it remains to be seen where Fernando Torres’s future lies as the January transfer window approaches.
West Ham have lost just once at home in the top flight this campaign, so have made Upton Park somewhat of a fortress. The likes of Manchester City have come here and managed to only take a point.
Sam Allardyce is sure to get his men up for this one and will want them to get into Chelsea’s faces early, making it a tough 90 minutes for them to come and play their natural game.
If the Hammers can get the right service in for Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan, then they certainly have a chance of taking all three points here.
As for Chelsea, Stamford Bridge is not the happiest of places right now and Benitez may even be happy to take charge of his first game away from home this weekend.
The Spaniard knows that he must start winning games if he is to have any chance of getting the fans on his side and only a victory against West Ham will do here.
The Blues have not managed to claim all three points in the Premier League for six matches now, form that has seen them slip down to third in the table and seven points adrift of Manchester United in top spot.
Upton Park is sure to be rocking on Saturday afternoon and this has the makings of being a cracking encounter between two London rivals.
The Hammers are a difficult side to beat at home, and with the Blues showing little signs of improvement under Benitez, the home win at 3/1 looks a cracking proposition.
Another all London derby sees Tottenham travel to Craven Cottage to take on Martin Jol’s Fulham side. The Cottagers have stuttered in recent weeks following their excellent start to their Premiership campaign, having not won in their last six, while the return to the side of Moussa Dembele has sparked Spurs into life.
Villas Boas’s side have won their last two games and will be looking for an improvement in some disappointing away form. The 6/4 on the Tottenham away win looks a little too big to ignore and should be taken.
Elsewhere Liverpool will be looking for a vital three points as Brendan Rogers’ side entertain Southampton at Anfield. Both these sides have seen the green shoots of recovery in recent weeks, with the Reds loss at Spurs last week their first defeat in eight in the Premiership, while Nigel Adkins Saints side are definitely making a fight of things and are unbeaten in four.
The 8/1 on the away win looks too big to miss on this occasion.
It all gets underway from 12.45PM.
