West Ham v Fulham Odds : Cottagers the value as punters backing big price on away win

The early kick-off on Saturday sees two London sides go head-to-head as West Ham United host Fulham at Upton Park, as Paddy Power announce a new free bets offer and report punters are piling into their price of 2/1 for Martin Jol’s side to take all the points.

Both teams currently sit on three points but Martin Jol will be the happier of the two managers at this stage of the campaign.

Looking at West Ham, after an opening day win over Aston Villa confidence in the camp would have been high.

However, they then travelled to Swansea last weekend and went down 3-0 and were completely outplayed from start to finish.

Sam Allardyce would have been less than impressed the way in which his side conceded their goals – with poor defensive errors. He could now make a few changes at the back in hope of another clean sheet as a well organised back four is something he prides himself on.

Home form is course vital for the Hammers and these are the kind of matches they need to be picking up points from if they are to beat the drop this season.

As for Fulham, they started their campaign off with a 5-0 victory over Norwich and then travelled to Manchester United and were far from disgraced as they went down 3-2.

The Cottagers even took the lead in the match, but in the end their opponent’s class shone through. Jol can take a great deal from that encounter though and will now feel as though they have enough to take all three points here.

Damien Duff has found the net in each opening fixtures and looks to be in a good bit of form at the moment. His experience could be vital for Fulham this time out.

With seven goals in two games, Jol will be happy with the way his side are attacking teams and if they can keep solid at the back – could be a real force this year.

With the added spice of this being a London derby, it should be a great match between two teams who, at their best, should be well matched.

It all gets underway at 12:45pm.
