Breaking West Ham v Man City odds from the Capital One Cup, plus team news (KO 19:45).
West Ham are considered 13/2 outsiders to beat Man City in the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final as the Hammers look to somehow overcome a six goal deficit at Upton Park.
The last few weeks have not been for West Ham with both injuries and luck going against them every time they step on the pitch and life doesn’t get any easier for them as they welcome Manchester City to Upton Park for the second leg of their semi-final line-up.
In the first leg, The Hammers were simply outclassed by City who emerged 6-0 victors courtesy of an Alvaro Negredo hat-trick and a brace from Edin Dzeko.
However, Sam Allardyce might be able to get some consolation from the tie as he starts to welcome back several of his first team players into the line-up.
The good news is that West Ham will get some bite back in their attacking line-up as promising midfielder Ravel Morrison is back from injury as is Andy Carroll giving the midfield someone to aim for in the penalty box.
Portuguese playmaker Ricardo Vaz Te also could be scheduled to make his return after three months out on the sidelines however Winston Reid has not yet fully recovered from the ankle he sustained late last year.
After already putting one foot in the final, City will no doubt be keen to extend the winning run that has seen them remain unbeaten so far in 2014.
However, Manuel Pellegrini is expected to change things up by resting many of his key players with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and Yaya Toure all expected to be given the night off.
This could allow for the likes of Jack Rodwell and Stevan Jovetic to make their returns from injury after both players resumed training following several months on the sidelines.
Even if City do make a complete change to the side that beat Cardiff on Saturday afternoon, West Ham will still face a herculean task in getting anywhere near the scoreline that they would need to reach Wembley next month.
