Wigan are reportedly looking at West Brom’s Peter Odemwingieas a replacement for their star striker, Hugo Rodallega, as they brace themselves for a bid from Arsenal.
The Colombian has netted 22 times in 81 appearances and Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has long been thought to be an admirer of the forward.
Odemwingie had a dream debut season at the Hawthorns last season, scoring 15 goals for the Baggies. However, the Nigerian international is yet to sign a contract extension.
Albion boss, Roy Hodgson, has just signed up Republic of Ireland striker, Shane Long, and wants to play the two strikers alongside one another.
West Brom chief, Jeremy Peace, is apparently considering offers for the former Lokomotiv Moscow striker, as the club look to capitalise on the £2.5m bargain.
