Wigan Athletic have announced that the knee injury suffered by Hugo Rodallega is not as bad as first thought after a scan.
The Columbian international had to be stretchered off in the latter stages of the 3-1 defeat at Everton, adding to the Latics’ early season woes.
Manager Roberto Martinez told the club’s official website: “The scans came back really positively, it doesn’t seem there are any big concerns in terms of the structure of the knee.”
He added: “It’s fantastic news and now we are going to make sure that Hugo recovers well and gets back on the football pitch as quickly as possible.”
