Paddy Power Latest Betting Odds: Wigan 13/5, draw 12/5, Everton 6/5
Bottom of the table Wigan will be hoping for crucial Premier League points this weekend when they take on an Everton side rejuvenated from a positive week both on and off the pitch.
Referring to the Toffees to begin with, not only did they manage an excellent 1-0 win over Premier League leaders Manchester City during the week, but they did some good business in the January transfer market too.
First up, they brought in long-time target Nikica Jelavic from Rangers. The striker arrived on deadline day and will be looking to add significant goal threat for David Moyes’ men in the remainder of the season.

Then, they managed a real coup late on deadline day, re-signing midfielder Steven Pienaar on-loan from Tottenham for the rest of the season. The South African was a real fan’s favourite and a crucial player for Everton before he left, so this is a fantastic piece of business.
Everton now have the ingredients to really push on during the rest of the season. Their campaign has been up and down so far, but now they have momentum and can push on to bigger and better things.
As for Wigan, they only have one thing on their mind – Premier League survival. This looks a long way off at the moment though as they sit rock bottom of the table, five points adrift of safety.
Roberto Martinez’s men are on the back of four successive defeats too, so they really need to turn things round. A poor February and the writing really could be on the wall for them.
They may have only won once at home all season, but they need to make the DW Stadium more of a fortress, starting with this weekend against Everton.
It is worth noting that Everton’s home form isn’t fantastic either though with just one win in their last five games on the road.
Looking at the team news for this one, Wigan hope to bring in Hugo Rodallega after he was rested during the week, while Everton could hand a debut to Jelavic as he begins his career in English football.
