Wigan are reportedly looking to sign Tottenham’s out-of-favour winger Giovani Dos Santos, as they look to fill the void left by the departure of Charles N‘Zogbia.
The Mexican international has failed to tie down a regular spot in Harry Redknapp’s first team line-up, enjoying several loan spells in Spain and Turkey.
Dos Santos featured in the Mexican national side in the 2010 World Cup, and showed that he still has the potential to display great ability as he did as a Barcelona youth.
The speedster has made only ten appearances for the North London side, but at just 22 year-old has time to grow.
Roberto Martinez is keen to bring Dos Santos into the side, and would join the already strong Latin contingent at the DW Stadium.
It’s thought that Wigan are ready to offer £6m for the youngster’s services, but Spurs are holding out for somewhere nearer to £9m.
