Its Wigan v Millwall, Chelsea v Man City in the FA Cup as punters snap up Paddy Power & their new free bets offer on the weekend games.
The Dublin based firm reports it will refund certain losing bets should Yaya Toure or Juan Mata scores last in the second FA matchup Sunday, which is proving very popular with punters.
The first FA Cup semi-final of the weekend comes from Wembley and it is a battle between two teams that not many would have been expecting to make it to this stage as Premier League strugglers Wigan Athletic take on Championship outfit Millwall.
FA Cup: Paddy Power Free Bets Offer
Its definitely a cracking weekend of FA Cup football, as Paddy Power celebrate with a new free bet offer worth £250/€250 to customers to spend on any match! They’ll also refund bets should Yaya Toure or Juan Mata score last in the Chelsea Man City game! – claim here!
They both know what a great chance this is to get to the final and there should be an electric atmosphere inside Wembley on Saturday evening.
Looking at Wigan to begin with, their main aim for the season is to maintain their Premier League status of course, but Roberto Martinez feels as though his players have the quality to get themselves out of the bottom three and believes that FA Cup success will give them the confidence to finish the campaign strongly.
In the quarter-final at Goodison Park against Everton we saw the very best of the Latics as they won 3-0 and tore the Toffees apart in three frantic first half minutes as they scored all of their goals in that space of time.
On this Wembley pitch, Martinez will feel as though his side can play their natural passing game and create plenty going forward.
The Premier League club are the 5/6 favourites to win inside 90 minutes here and as long as they perform to the level we know they can, then Wigan should have no problems. We do however, know that they have the tendency to go missing in a game and that simply can’t happen this time out.
Arouna Kone has been in decent form recently and if someone like Shaun Maloney can get the service right for the striker, he can cause Millwall a lot of problems. Kone is the 4/1 favourite to score first.
As for Millwall, they aren’t yet safe in the Championship, but just a couple of wins should see them over the line and Kenny Jackett will be doing all he can to take his men to an FA Cup final.
The Lions have played Premier League opposition just once in the competition so far as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at the New Den back in the fourth round.
They then went to Luton Town and won 3-0 before needing a replay in the quarter-final against Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.
Jackett’s side have been inconsistent this campaign and much like Wigan, you never quite know what you are going to get from them.
One thing the Londoners have to do this weekend is remain solid at the back as their opponents do have players that can cause a lot of problems. The experience of someone like Danny Shittu could be massive for Millwall here and he needs to organise the back four extremely well on Saturday evening.
There is no doubt that the Championship team have a chance here and you can back them at 15/4 to win inside 90 minutes. Millwall are likely to have more supporters inside the stadium as well, which could be an advantage for them.
We are all set for a cracker here and the action gets underway from 5.15pm on Saturday.
