Wigan and Wolves meet at the DW Stadium this weekend in their final game of the season, as Ladbrokes indicate all the money has been for Roberto Martinez’s side as their price has been backed in to 8/13.
This would have been a match that many people were tipping to mean so much for both sides, however they have both had their respective fates for this campaign decided.
Wigan have been quite simply superb over recent weeks and their victory over Blackburn on Monday night ensured they will be playing in the top flight again next season.

With victories over Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle in April, Roberto Martinez was given the Manager of the Month award which is a fantastic accolade for his side’s achievement.
Martinez’s men have picked up six victories from their previous eight matches. They have also taken 20 points since the start of March, which is half of their current total for the whole campaign.

The Latics will now be looking to go out on a high in front of their home fans and finish in 15th, above Aston Villa which would top of a great season as Villa wanted to take Martinez away from the DW last summer.
As for Wolves, it has been a season to forget for them and they will be more than happy for it to end.
The Midlands side know that they will be playing in the Championship come August after a shocking run of results that saw them relegated last month. It is now 13 games without a win for Terry Connor’s side.
Connor will want to finish the final game with all three points and at least take them into the summer on the back of a win. Their main task now is keeping hold of their best players as they face a very tough year in the second tier of English football.
With nothing at stake here it could make for an entertaining encounter and it is sure to be a party atmosphere at Wigan.
Kick-off is 3pm on Sunday.
