Manchester City new-boy Samir Nasri has confirmed that he was in talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential move to the French giants before moving to Eastlands.
The French international joined Roberto Mancini’s revolution from Arsenal last week and has revealed that PSG’s sporting director Leonardo, who spent the second half of last season coaching Inter Milan, wanted to sign him.
“I talked to Leonardo because he wanted me at Internazionale, ” Nasri told Telefoot. “(At PSG) the situation was a bit more complex because I told him about my choice for Manchester City.
“He had already signed (Javier) Pastore (from Palermo) and it was a little difficult (for them) to find funds to invest and be able to sign me.”
Nasri joined Arsenal from French club Marseille in 2008 after spending 4 years at the club. He made his City debut in their 5-1 thumping of Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and rounded off the performance with three assists.
