Wolves striker heading to Leeds United

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that striker, Andy Keogh, will be joing Leeds United in a loan deal lasting until January.

The 25 year-old began his professional career at Elland Road, before joining Scunthorpe in 2005.

Wolves chief, Jez Moxey, confirmed that the forward was travelling to West Yorkshire to go through negotiations before agreeing a return to the Whites.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Moxey noted: “Andy is going up there and we’re doing some paperwork to let him go on a standard loan until the next window.”

He added: “I spoke to him yesterday and asked him what he wants to do and he’s prepared to go.”

The Wolves chief is of the understanding that Keogh’s career may benefit more from a permanent move, but that a loan suits both parties best right now.

Moxey also commented: “We are of the view that we would prefer a sale for his sake but Leeds need some help more than anything, so this loan is a good arrangement for everyone.”
