World record superstar refuses to discard Premier League return

Real Madrid forward and football’s most expensive signing, Cristiano Ronaldo, has left the door open for a return to the Premier League admitting that he misses the pace of the English game.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Portuguese star commented: “Maybe in the future I hope so, because I know the league, I know the players, I know the atmosphere.”

He went on to say: “Just because I play in Madrid I’m not going to miss speaking with the old guys so, when I have an opportunity, I speak with Sir Alex Ferguson.”

Ronaldo broke the record when he signed for the La Liga giants in the summer of 2009 for a fee of almost £85m.

However, the hitman also stated: “I’ve said a few times that, if Madrid want, I can sign for ten years more until the finish of my career but nobody knows the future.”

The goal machine left a very ambiguous twist on his future, meaning it’s anyone’s guess where the maestro could be in four years’ time.
