Young French midfielder Moussa Sissoko is still very much on the Anfield radar however a move to Liverpool for the 22 year old is unlikely to materialise until the summer transfer window.
Liverpool were keen on the player during the summer but deciding against making a bid at the time, making only discreet enquiries. However with Liverpool still looking to but young emerging talent, and despite their summer investment in midfielders last summer, Sissoko still remains a player they wish to bring to the club.
The likes of Henderson and Downing and Adam were brought in by Dalglish however there is still room for a defensive midfielder with Lucas currently taking on the role despite being a more attack minded option.
Since Sissoko joined Toulouse in 2007 the big midfielder has made close to 150 league appearances and scored 17 goals in that period. The Reds will however face competition from Ligue 1 though with Lille and Lyon both rumoured to be ready to make their move during the summer.
