Young Japanese Star Set for Debut

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that 18 year old Ryo Miyaichi is to be included in the Gunners’ squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Liverpool.

The Japanese winger was granted a work permit to play in England earlier this month, which was finalised this week after paperwork was completed in Japan, allowing the young star to be available for selection.
“He is in the squad for tomorrow,” said the manager on Friday. “We are impressed by Ryo’s quality, his spirit and his attitude.

“Everybody is absolutely convinced he will be an Arsenal player. He has a good understanding of the game, he is very quick, he is a fighter and has all the attributes that you love of a player at the top level.

“He is 18 years old and has come from College football straight to professional football so we want to give him time to adapt to the Premier League.”
Ryo spent just under half of last season on loan at Feyenoord last season, impressing many of the top clubs in Europe and is said to be a rising talent.
