Zaragoza Real Betis Odds : Live Stream available from Estadio La Romared

Bottom of the table Real Zaragoza will be hoping to drag Real Betis into the relegation picture this evening when the two underperforming teams meet in a fascinating La Liga clash.

Going into tonight’s match, Zaragoza really are struggling at the foot of the table with just 15 points from their 22 games so far. In fact, with 11 points between themselves and safety, things are rather desperate right now.

They cannot give up though.

Tonight is their game in hand on teams around them and if they secure three points, they will move to within eight points of safety. This still leaves them with a lot to do, but it will be a more realistic challenge.

To be fair though, their form of late hasn’t exactly been that of a team that is on the brink of a great escape. In the last 15 league games, they have secured just one victory and suffered a losing streak of six games in the process.

Having said that, the sole victory in the last few weeks did come in their most recent La Liga game. Manolo Jiménez’s team secured an excellent win at Espanyol last time out, with two second-half goals giving them a shock three points. This now has to be the start of a more positive run.

As for Real Betis, well they are only three points above the relegation zone at the moment and are one of a number of teams looking over their shoulders. This means, they could really do with the points this evening.

Like Zaragoza, they are going into tonight’s fixture on the back of a valuable win. Back on the 11th February, they defeated European chasing Athletic Bilbao 2-1 and this is a result they would love to follow up positively.

Overall, this is likely to be a tight contest without too many goals. Zaragoza have only scored 8 times in front of their home fans this season, while Betis only have 10 goals on the road.

This one gets underway at 8pm this evening.
