Bolton Arsenal Odds: Trotters new signings to start

Paddy Power (£100 Free bets) Latest Betting Odds: Bolton 4/1, draw 11/4, Arsenal 8/11

Arsenal will be looking to end a run of three straight Premier League defeats this evening when they travel to the Reebok Stadium to take on a Bolton side fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table.

The Gunners may well have progressed in the FA Cup at the weekend – they came back from 2-0 down to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 – but there is no doubt that a league win is much needed.

They are desperate to finish in the top four this season and at the moment, they are six points adrift of achieving this. With 16 Premier League games to go, they really need to get on a decent run of form.

Arsene Wenger’s men have a good recent record against Bolton though. They have won eight of the last nine league meetings against the Trotters and will be keen to improve this even further tonight.

Bolton managed to defeat Arsenal in this fixture last season though, securing a 2-1 victory thanks to a last minute winner from Tamir Cohen. Owen Coyle’s men are in the best form they have been in all season too, so they will go into this one with plenty of belief.

They have won their last three games in all competitions, while since the 20th December they have managed crucial league victories over Blackburn Rovers, Everton and Liverpool.

This means they are out of the relegation zone going into tonight’s match, although this is only by a single point, so they will be fully aware of the tough challenges ahead to stay in the league.

Coyle did manage to bring some new players in on transfer deadline day though, including highly-rated duo Ryo Miyaichi and Marvin Sordell from Arsenal and Watford respectively.

They may not be eligible to play this evening, but they give the Bolton squad a boost going into the rest of the campaign.

As for the team news for tonight’s game, Bolton could be without new-signing Tim Ream after work permit issues, while Arsenal look set to have Johan Djourou available after recovering from a groin strain injury.
