Liverpool skipper confident striking ace can become Anfield legend

Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, believes that January signing, Luis Suarez, can etch his name into the Kop history books and become a legend with the club.

The England international hasn’t actually enjoyed much playing time alongside his teammate due to injury, but has had plenty of time to watch from the sidelines.

Speaking to LFC TV, Gerrard stated: “He’s still young enough and I’m sure he’s going to get even better than he is now, which is a scary thought.”

The 31 year-old added: “Hopefully he will go on here for a long time because he’s certainly got a massive part to play at this club in the future – the history is there to be written.”

The Uruguayan has started the season in the right way, despite the team’s first loss coming in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Stoke City.
